Last post for a while :-(

Hi everyone! I wanted to get a quick post in before we lose our broadband connection at home in two days time. We will all be in the US on 2nd May so life is a bit busy at the mo!

Oliver is still doing really well. The crawling has come on no end and he can get from one end of the room to the other in no time. He has so many toys to play with but his favourite things are cables, Scoop's crate, Scoop's bones, car seat, bags, shoes.......etc etc!! We have to tell him "no" in a stern voice now but he still responds with a smile - he'll soon learn!!

Anyway, here are a few pics and another video for you. I'll try to put an update on asap after our arrival in the US.

Oliver likes to feed himself sometimes - with what looks like the most massive spoon ever!

Latest Pics!

Hi everyone! Not too much news at the moment - we are still waiting to hear when we will complete on our house and the move can go ahead. Until then we are living in chaos! I finished work on Friday which was all a bit strange.

Last Sunday we had a mega snowfall (well, for the UK it was pretty bad!). Most of it came down in the 25 minutes I was out walking Scoop!! Crazy weather for April.

Oliver is doing well. His two top teeth have now come through so that's 4 in total. His crawling is coming on although it is still more like hopping than crawling!! He managed to get from one side of the front room to the other this morning! At the last weigh-in he was 20lbs and 2oz so obviously doing well on the growth front!! His 6-9mth clothes are starting to get snug - particularly the tops. Last night he wore a bigger sleepsuit as the others were definitely looking a bit short on the sleeves! Anyway, that's it for now. Enjoy the video of Oliver and Scoop who are becoming the best of friends (too bad Scoop likes to have a little play nibble at the end - we have to watch her like a hawk!).

I will get my rattle!

I like to sit in front of my bear now - I get angry if I'm laying down!

Best friends!!

Meeting the family

On Sunday I took Oliver down to Sussex to meet my Uncle Geoff and Aunty Joan and my cousins Lindsay and Richard. We had a lovely lunch and Oliver got lots of cuddles (well, Richard at least held him even if it was at arm's length!!!!). There are a few pics below - I am waiting for one of Geoff and Oliver to be sent to me (hint, hint!).

Since then we have been to visit our friend Christine who did our wedding flowers and today we went to see my friend Deb in Hertfordshire. A whirlwind tour of the home counties this week!

There is a lovely video at the end of this which proves that we are definitely Oliver's parents - we are teaching him well, LOL!!

My son is such a poser!!

Just a beautiful smiley photo!!

What is this baby thing you've given me??!!!!

Easter in Cornwall

We have just got back from a week in Somerset and Cornwall. We spent Easter Saturday night at Graham's and then travelled to Cornwall on the Sunday. Oliver got to spend quality time with his two cousins, Aunty Steph, Nanna and Funny Michael as well as Grandad Graham. He was thoroughly spoiled and got to see the sea for the first time.

Oliver has come on in leaps and bounds over the past week (must be the Cornish air and all the sleeping he did!). His babbling is turning into more defined words and I swear he is trying to say "mama"!!! He is nearly crawling as well. He is great at doing little bunny hops and is slowly working out that he can go forward as well as back!! Jon is hoping the crawling doesn't start before he gets back from Minneapolis next weekend but I don't think it'll be too long now. I have a great video of him crawling and talking but I have tried since yesterday to upload it with no success :-( I'll keep trying! Oliver is also much stronger at sitting and can be left in a sitting position for quite a long time now. He doesn't really like laying in the bath anymore and uses all his strength to try and sit up!!

Anyway, enjoy all the photos and look out for the next exciting installment!

7 month bouncing video!!

Today is Oliver's 7 month birthday so I took a video of him bouncing!! We are off to meet with the Babycentre mummies and babies this morning - once Oliver wakes up from his nap. All that bouncing tired him out!!

Watch out!!

Hi everyone!! Sorry it's been so long since the last post - we have been so busy over here!! Anyway, Oliver has really mastered the art of rolling over the past few days - hence the title of this entry! You really need to have eyes in the back of your head at the moment. He even likes to roll over in the bath but he is clever enough to know that the head needs to be lifted out of the water, LOL!! He is also getting stronger at sitting but is still a little wobbly.

Oliver will turn 7 months old in just a few days so we'll be moving on to more interesting food including dairy, meat and fish. Today he ate some bun from a burger and seemed to like that. He was really good at chewing on it and it had come from a meaty burger which he seemed to like :-)

I got Oliver weighed a couple of weeks ago and he came in at 19lbs 7oz!! I am now starting to feel it when I take him out in the carrier to walk Scoop. But once he gets moving he'll probably be lighter again!! He is just the cutest little boy with the most kissable cheeks so I don't give two hoots about his weight - he's just gorgeous!!

I have tried uploading a video but it's taking forever. I will try and get a shorter video and upload that next time!
