100 days of kindergarten |
Hi everyone!!! Well, my baby turned 3 last week. I can hardly believe that 3 years have passed. Her celebrations have been going on all weekend I think! On Thursday we went to the Mall of America and went on some rides there and grabbed some lunch. In the evening we went out for dinner. On Friday we had some friends come over to play and yesterday we had the family over for pizza and more fun :) She was very lucky and got lots of super presents. And she just loves having Happy Birthday sung to her although she didn't really care to eat any cake (strange girl!!).
Since the last time I posted we have been pretty busy. Emily, Oliver and I were all sick over a 2 week period right after the last post. Emily had a double ear infection and was put on antibiotics and then she developed an allergic reaction to them so we know now that she can never have those again. The poor thing was covered head to toe in a rash :(
Oliver got his chance to be "Star of the Week" at kindergarten. He got to take some special toys into school and talk to his friends about them. And he got to bring home Ted E. Bear and look after him over a few days. It is only 2 full months until kindergarten is over for the summer break and I will have a 1st grader on my hands!!!
We have had birthday parties to go to pretty much every weekend which has been super fun! Oliver decides after every one that he is going to the same thing for his birthday party. I'm not sure what the final decision will be but I keep reminding him that we have lots of time to decide! Oliver and Mikayla also got to see Disney on Ice with Grandma and Grandpa one evening.
Two weeks ago we went on a short break to the Great Wolf Lodge water park in Wisconsin. This is the same park we went to when the Curry family visited a couple of years ago. The kids loved it!! Loads of swimming, story time in the evenings, tasty food and (most importantly perhaps) movies to watch in the car to and from the park!!
Spring is finally showing signs of coming. This winter has been long and tough but we are looking forward to some warmer temps and more outdoor time! We need it so Emily can ride her brand new bike which we got at the weekend :)
