We've been having lots of Valentine's Day fun over here. Cookie making, Valentine's mailbox colouring, school party and, of course, Valentine's exchanged at home. The Americans really do go a little bit crazy for this holiday!! Oliver in particular has enough candy to last a year but I want most of it gone before the next lot arrives at Easter so I suppose I will have a sugared up child for a couple of months ;)
It has continued to be crazy warm for the time of year so we've been outside a lot. Scoop loves it of course as she gets lots of walks!!
Oliver's podiatrist appointment went just fine - we were only there for 10 minutes!! Yes, his toes do curve inwards but it is more than likely genetic rather than anything to do with footwear so I was relieved we hadn't caused it! They don't tend to do anything about it until late teens because the bones are still growing unless the toes start going underneath each other. So, it's basically down to us to keep an eye on it.
Last week our neighbour invited us to have lunch at kindergarten with her son who started there last year. Marc and Oliver like to play together and it's nice to know he will be at the same school when Oliver starts. Oliver loved it - not overwhelmed at all. And he even said he would like it when mummy wasn't there :)
Emily continues to do well with her words. She can copy a lot of what we say. Last night she was super happy during dinner and afterwards which is one of the very rare occasions we can say that! Normally she just starts crying as soon as dinner is over and it's straight to bath and bed. It was refreshing!!!
This morning we are having some friends over and Oliver is waiting not so patiently to play!!! So I had better wrap up and get things ready!
Little Miss Fashion!
The kids always go this crazy when Dynamite comes on the radio!
Emily loves Ni Hao Kai-Lan and makes a very good attempt at saying it too :)
